London, UK, 23rd August 2011 – Canon today enhances its leading product portfolio by unveiling an exceptional new range of digital still cameras and inkjet printers, including a selection of PowerShot and IXUS cameras, and five new PIXMA models. Designed to deliver exceptional quality from the second the image is captured to the moment it’s printed, all products feature Canon’s unique imaging technologies, combining precision-quality components with new and enhanced features.

IXUS and PowerShot – zoom, style, quality, ease-of-use
The two new additions to the IXUS range include the IXUS 1100 HS and the IXUS 230 HS, two impressively compact cameras packing a powerful range of technologies and features that deliver outstanding still images and Full HD video with stereo sound. Both IXUS models excel in low light thanks to Canon’s unique HS system, which provides exceptional image quality in all conditions.

The slimmest camera of its kind[1], the IXUS 1100 HS packs a powerful 12x optical zoom into a sleek, stainless steel body with the versatile 28mm wide-angle lens. Photos are displayed and settings controlled with ease on the huge 8.0cm (3.2’’) PureColor II Touch LCD screen.

The IXUS 230 HS blends a sleek and stylish design, available in a choice of six vibrant colours, with a powerful 28mm 8x optical zoom lens, and at just 22.1mm, it is also the slimmest camera of its kind in the world[2]. For instant Full HD movie recording, the IXUS 230 HS also features a dedicated Movie Record Button to allow users to switch immediately from shooting high quality stills to video.

The new PowerShot SX150 IS is an affordable, superzoom camera packed with fun and creative features. Designed to make it super-easy and enjoyable to capture fun shots and HD movies, the PowerShot SX150 IS features a 14.1 Megapixel resolution sensor, while an impressive 12x optical zoom offers a 336mm telephoto reach – providing the flexibility to capture high quality images, near and far. A compact design also makes it the perfect companion for trips and family holidays.

All three cameras feature Canon’s new Intelligent IS system – a powerful technology that assesses the scene and automatically chooses the most appropriate optical IS mode from a range of seven[3] to best prevent camera shake and blur, ensuring stills and movies are captured in optimum quality.

From capture to print with PIXMA printers
One of the great joys of photography is to print and share the moments you have captured. With Canon’s new line-up of five advanced All-In-One models with print, scan and copy functionality, users can produce premium quality photos to last a lifetime. Elegantly designed to seamlessly fit into any home, the PIXMA MG2150, PIXMA MG3150, PIXMA MG5350, PIXMA MG6250 and PIXMA MG8250 models combine advanced technology with innovative software, allowing users to enjoy beautiful, creative prints.

At the top of the range are the PIXMA MG6250 and PIXMA MG8250, ideal for passionate photographers who want to print professional quality prints quickly.  Both high-performance printers utilise Canon’s FINE print head, which delivers up to 9600dpi print resolution and a 10x15cm borderless photo in just 20 seconds.  Ease of use is provided by an Intelligent Touch System and a built-in TFT screen, providing access to a large selection of features quickly and easily. The PIXMA MG8250 also has a 35mm film and slide scanner, and incorporates a stylish EOS-inspired design.

The new PIXMA MG5350 is an advanced All-In-One that features a five-ink print engine for superior quality prints, copies and scans – rapidly producing photos and documents at up to 9600dpi print resolution. A large, centralised 7.5cm colour TFT display provides easy photo viewing, while wireless connectivity makes it easy to print from anywhere in the home or office.

The PIXMA MG5350, PIXMA MG6250 and PIXMA MG8250 all feature the new PIXMA Cloud Link, allowing users to access and print online photos directly from the printer. Additionally, the PIXMA MG8250 and PIXMA MG6250 support printing on-the-go from mobile devices using Google Cloud Print.

Ideal for students and families looking for a compact All-In-One for everyday document and photo printing, the PIXMA MG2150 and PIXMA MG3150 are sleek, stylish printers with a streamlined design. Also launching today are three new Canon i-SENSYS laser printers, including the i-SENSYS LBP7010C and LBP7018C, two affordable colour single function laser printers for individual and home office users. The final addition is the i-SENSYS MF3010, a compact 3-in-1 mono laser multifunction printer for small and home office use.
